Doula care for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum gives continuous, evidence-based emotional, physical, and practical support for expecting and new mothers. During pregnancy, a doula helps with birth plans, comfort techniques, and education to boost confidence and lower anxiety. At birth, she stays with the mother, offers non-medical pain relief, advocates for her wishes, and works with medical staff. After delivery, she aids breastfeeding, teaches infant care, supports emotional recovery, and connects families to resources.
